We decided when Sienna was born in May 2008 that we would buy a nice camera. We didnt want to cheap out since we wanted to capture every moment of her precious life to its fullest. We instantly loved taking pictures, and wanted to learn more and more about photography. We bought a lighting set up and backdrop to put in our living room and play around with. Our friends started coming over with their kids for photos, then their friends were asking to get their pictures taken and that they would pay! WOW!! All of a sudden we had this business that didnt even have a name. We needed to decide if this is what we wanted to do and fast. Since I ( Casey ) grew up with my dad always using slr cameras I had a foundation to work from, and JoJo, who always loved taking pictures of cool buildings and scenery, had a really good eye, we decided to go for it! We are both flight attendants for westjet so our scheduales are very flexible and left us lots of time to start up a new business.
On the search for a rental studio we found Winnipeg had nothing to offer, so we opened winnipeg's premier open-concept photography rental studio, Level 3 Studios, for other photographers to rent a professional space to shoot their clients in.
After shooting our cousins wedding in 2009 for our portfolio we ended up booking 7 weddings that first year, the next year was fully booked. We've been published and featured in several fitness magazines and websites, readers digest, fashion magazines and wedding websites and blogs. We were awarded one of winnipeg's favorite photographers by uptown magazine and have worked with many awesome companies commercially.
